Learn About the Changes Made to the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado
Changes are Coming to the Silverado for 2013
During the new model year, changes are coming with the 2013 Chevy Silverado, with Chevrolet improving upon their classic pickup. Of course, there is only so much that you can do to improve on such an amazing truck, especially after Chevrolet has already added a hybrid engine option that can still deliver the power you expect from a Silverado.
At Chevrolet of Homewood, we’re proud of stocking only the best quality of vehicles, and that means we carry the entire lineup of Chevrolet’s fine autos.
New Paint Jobs and Options Debut in 2013
We’re sorry if you were a fan of the Imperial Blue Metallic or Black Granite Metallic paint jobs, as they have been discontinued in favor of offering three stunning new color options to Silverado drivers: Deep Ruby Metallic, White Diamond Tricoat, and Blue Topaz Metallic.
You’ll be sure to turn heads driving your brand new Silverado with one of these three new colors.
Drivers will receive a set of all-terrain tires, rather than being forced to choose between on- and off-road tires as in previous models. You’ll have access to a new CNG bi-fuel option package with the 2500 HD trim, as well as the choice between two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive.
An additional improvement that’s going out to all General Motors trucks is an upgrade to the six-speed transmission, which now includes the same grade-braking abilities in normal driving conditions that previously were only active when towing or hauling.
There aren’t many new features for 2013, which experts are predicting is due to Chevrolet releasing a brand new Silverado in 2014 based on the K2XX platform.
