The Forward-Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking is standard on all 2021 Equinox models. This feature warns of a potential frontal collision, and can apply the brakes to prevent or mitigate a potential crash. Lane-Keeping Assist is also standard, and what it does is automatically helps keep the Equinox from drifting over lane markings in case you lose focus. Blind-Spot Monitoring is optional on the LT trim and standard on the Premier. This feature can warn of other cars in the Equinox’s left-rear or right-rear blind spots. IntelliBeam automatic headlights are also now standard on the 2021 Equinox.

While the 2020 Equinox and 2021 Equinox are quite similar. The 2020 Equinox gets light styling updates in the front and rear in the 2021 model. Other differences is the 2021 Equinox now has an RS trim. This trim provides a gloss-black grille, 19-inch Dark Android wheels, black side rails and black badges. The top-end Premier model wears gloss-black and chrome exterior trim along with 19-inch machine-faced wheels.
