Chevy ZZ6 Turn-Key Small Block EngineHere at Chevrolet of Homewood, your leading Calumet City area Chevy dealer, we’re glad to announce that there’s a new small block coming to our showroom: the ZZ6 V8. The new ZZ6 is an all new 350-cubic inch or 5.7L V8 engine that draws on the long history of the small block to provide modern performance and reliability. This engine is aimed at the customizer, the tuner, and the builder—though it could make its way into some vehicles, like the Chevy SS or the next generation Camaro. Find out more here.

The Next Generation of the Small Block

The Small Block V8 is an iconic performance engine that has powered Chevy vehicles for decades. The ZZ series has been produced for the last 27 years, and the ZZ6 is the latest version of this widely respected power plant. This new turn-key engine is perfect for anyone building a performance vehicle, for both on-road and off-road performance. The engine was tuned to provide even greater high-rpm torque and horsepower, with a peak output of 405 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm.

This new V8 uses fast burn cylinder heads and light weight aluminum rocker arms, making it the most advanced small block available as a turn key powerplant. The ZZ6 also includes spark plug wires, air cleaner, alternator, fuel pump, starter, front accessory drive kit, and carburetor. That’s essentially everything you need to get your project car up and running.

If you’re rehabbing that vintage corvette, or building up your very own track-ready super car, then this engine might be the answer to your prayers. It should be available later this year, and more details will be available in November.
