Okay, we know you want to be filled in on the engines offered on the 2016 Camaro, so let’s get right down to it. There are 4 trims—1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS—and 3 powerful and responsive engines to choose from. With the LT models you’ll have a choice between 2 dynamic powertrains
- 2.0L Turbo1 which delivers SAE-certified 275 hp with 295 lb-ft of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed paddle-shift automatic.
- 3.6L V6 producing SAE-certified 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque, paired to the same 6-speed manual or an 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.
Both of the SS Models come standard with a 6.2L V8 engine capable of an SAE-certified 455 hp with 455 lb-ft of torque—the most powerful engine ever offered on the Camaro SS. Transmissions offered on the SS models are either a 6-speed manual with Active Rev Matching, or the 8-speed paddle-shift automatic.

Lighter, stiffer, and more nimble, the sleek design hearkens back to the classic Camaro style while being totally modern.
