Cruise 'n' Que
Our favorite Summer tradition? Sponsoring our Cruise 'n' Ques, of course! We're proud to hose the Southside Cruisers for these monthly shows, and welcome anyone who wants to attend. Each show includes live music and a Split The Pot raffle. Stop by for the classic cars, grab a hotdog off the grill, and cheer for the evening's Best In Show recipient!
Split The Pot
As the final Cruise 'n' Que comes to a close, the Chevrolet of Homewood team gets together to pick a recipient for the season's Split the Pot Raffle. The winnings from the season's shows are totaled and given to someone it would truly help. Pictured is the recipient for 2025, the Gavin Family.
4th of July Parade
We love driving in Homewood's 4th of July Parade, and 2025's was extra special! We had the honor of transporting the Grand Marshall and Homewood's Most Senior Senior, Mary Cantway. At a spry 111 years old, she's as sharp as a tack and was a pleasure to have as our co-pilot!
USO BBQ for the Troops
It wouldn't be Summer at Chevrolet of Homewood without the USO BBQ for the Troops! Every year, around the second weekend of July, we fire up the grill for a cause: raising money for the USO of Illinois! The USO provides comfort to our Troops overseas, and is by their side as they transition back to their communities. We appreciate the continued support from our local Recruiting Centers as well as the community. We have proudly hosted the events for over a decade, and we look forward to hosting more!
Bud Billiken Parade
The Chevrolet of Homewood team might be done with our education, but that doesn't mean we don't get excited for Back To School time! You can find us driving VIPs and Dignitary Guests in the Bud Billiken Parade every August. Let us know if you spot us next time!
Trunk or Treat
Community involvement AND dressing up? Count us in! We look forward to joining in the Trunk or Treat festivities at Living Springs Community Church every year. Next spooky season, you can find us passing out candy at their Fall Fest!
Homewood Chevy Straw Bale Donation
As the seasons change and we prepare to swap our straw bales for Christmas trees, that can only mean one thing- a trip to The Children's Farm! It would be easy to toss our decorative straw bales in the trash, but donating them to become bedding for the piglets, cows, goats, and more is worth the extra trip.
Holiday Food Drive
Giving back to our community is important to the Chevrolet of Homewood team, especially during the holidays. Cue our Annual Holiday Food Drive. From the week before Thanksgiving to just before Christmas, our dealership collects non-perishable items to donate to Living Springs Community Church, right down Halsted. Anyone from the community is able to benefit from their food pantry, so our goal is to make sure it's stocked for the holidays!
Homewood Chevy Cares
During a tough time for the car industry, owner Steve Phillipos vowed to do something Good as long as he made it through, and that's exactly what he did. Fast forward 11 years, that Good is still going strong. Every October, the Homewood Chevy Cares Car Giveaway opens, and contestants only need to answer one question: How would winning a new car change your life? Following months of reading submissions and several rounds of voting, the Chevrolet of Homewood team presents a Brand New Chevrolet to the winner on the most magical day of the year, Christmas Eve.
